    What Is Cannabis?

    An Introduction to Cannabis

Cannabis is a versatile crop that produces chemicals known as cannabinoids that mimic compounds produced in the human body and are credited with addressing a wide-spectrum of conditions, such as nausea and vomiting, chronic pain and insomnia. The most common cannabinoids are THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) and CBD (cannabidiol).

    What are THC and CBD?

Is the most common cannabinoid and associated with the euphoric effects many feel when smoking cannabis or using cannabis-infused products. THC reduces nausea, increases appetite and is effective in pain relief. It has many other medicinal or therapeutic benefits and works best with terpenes, CBD and the other cannabinoids.

Is associated with many therapeutic benefits including its anti-inflammatory properties. It is believed to have no psychoactive effects, meaning it does not produce the “high” associated with THC use.

Products that are lower in THC and higher in CBD are great choices for those new to cannabis.

    About Terpenes

Secreted in the same glands that produce cannabinoids like THC and CBD, terpenes give cannabis varieties their unique scents while also interacting synergistically with cannabinoids and other compounds in the plant. They bind to the same receptor sites as THC, affecting their chemical output, which can result in medicinal benefits.
