There really is nothing quite like a good face mask after a long, stressful day, or those times when your skin just needs a little extra care. While you can pick up a decent face mask anywhere from Sephora to your local grocery store, you can also easily make an excellent DIY face mask for irritated skin using a couple things you might already have in your kitchen, plus a particularly healing natural ingredient: CBD.
When it comes to skin woes of all sorts, CBD has the potential to help alleviate a wide variety, like acne, psoriasis, eczema, dehydration, and more, making it an ideal addition to a homemade face mask. Combine it with other beneficial ingredients to maximize the face-calming effects. For example, a CBD oil and turmeric face mask does wonders to soothe angry skin. Turmeric is an anti-inflammatory that’s thought to be helpful for acne sufferers, and detoxifying charcoal can pack an even stronger punch. Mix it into soothing and skin-repairing yogurt, add a touch of antibacterial honey, and you’ve got a recipe to refresh your skin with something you definitely wouldn’t be able to find at Ulta or Sephora.
Ahead, a simple DIY anti-inflammatory face mask recipe to do for your next self care night in.
2 tablespoons full- fat organic Greek yogurt
1 teaspoon turmeric
1 tablespoon raw organic Manuka honey
2 teaspoon activated charcoal
2 full droppers of your favorite CBD topical oil
Combine and mix all ingredients thoroughly in blender or bowl.
Apply to clean skin, and leave on for 30 minutes.
Rinse off well.
Bonus: To really lock in the mask’s quenching, calming goodness, use your favorite CBD-infused serum and go-to moisturizer after rinsing off the mask.
