How To Make Your Own CBD Bath Bomb

How To Make Your Own CBD Bath Bomb

Bath bombs are having a sort of renaissance these past few years. There’s something about drawing a bath after a long day, dropping in one of these fizzy balls and letting yourself soak away your troubles. Baths already have many benefits, from easing sore muscles to improving heart health, to help with sleep. Studies have also shown that baths may positively impact mental health, as daily baths have been found to decrease feelings of depression.

Combine the benefits of baths with those of CBD (which helps to relieve both mental and physical issues such as anxiety and inflammation), and you’ve got a match made in self-care heaven. While you can pick up CBD-infused bath bombs from a brand like Kush Queen at your local MedMen cannabis retailer, there’s something special about DIY-ing your own. The next time you’re in need of a self-care session and are feeling a little crafty, try this recipe for a DIY CBD bath bomb.

CBD Lavender Bath Bomb Recipe

Yields approximately 6 bath bombs

1 cup baking soda
1/2 cup citric acid
1/2 cup Epsom salt
1/2 cup cornstarch
2 tablespoons coconut oil, melted
1 tsp water
CBD oil or tincture (like Care by Design)
6-7 drops of organic lavender oil
Bath bomb molds

1. Combine baking soda, Epsom salt, cornstarch, and citric acid in a medium bowl, mixing thoroughly until smooth.

2. In a separate bowl, mix coconut oil, CBD oil or tincture, lavender oil, and water.

3. Slowly add the liquid mixture into the dry, stirring as you add. Make sure to go slow, so it doesn’t fizz.

4. Once mixed, you should be able to carefully place the bath bomb mixture into the molds. Work quickly so the mixture doesn’t dry out.

5. Allow bath bomb to set in a mold for 30–40 minutes.

6. Gently remove bath bomb and let dry overnight.

7. Enjoy your bath and relax!
